WKND is a Prince Edward County-based landscape design practice led by Jeffrey Johnston. Established in 2023, the practice creates balanced, connected, and engaging outdoor spaces for a variety of residential and estate properties.
We work closely with our clients to create bespoke landscape design solutions that endure. Our consultation process focuses on building an authentic connection and true understanding of your lifestyle needs to guarantee the design caters to you. From there, each project starts with hand-sketched plans; this analogue approach helps ensure the landscape spaces we design are intuitive and provide a humanist experience. Our designs prioritize modern materials and native plant species and adapt them to each location’s unique site condition.
This ethos has led to industry recognition, with our project for House of Falconer highlighted as a Merit Winner (Design) at the 2025 Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trade Association awards, and our Adolphus Reach project featured in the Summer 2025 issue of Watershed magazine.
WKND offers services in conceptual design, detailed design, plant selection, and project coordination.
Jeffrey Johnston brings 20 years of experience to the practice from working on complex residential, commercial, and institutional projects for Janet Rosenberg & Studio, Joel Loblaw Inc., and more. He holds a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture (University of Guelph) and a master’s degree in Environment & Energy Studies (AA School of Architecture).
